Yes we are moving...

It's Sarah here!

We are still moving, but it's looking like we'll move anytime between the end of June to the beginning of November. We just need a little more time to save up some money for the move. I'll add more a little later, right now I'm having a hard time thinking...

Misplaced Modifiers

Here is another paper I found in my old college notes from my freshman year at LCU, from the same teacher. This was another lesson in the order of words and how important that is when writing a paper.
I think these came from some local classifieds.

Misplaced Modifiers:

Found: Mandolin by young man in good condition except for loose peg in head.
whereas it should read:

Welfare English

I was going through some of my old college notes the other day trying to make room for some other junk and I found this, it made me laugh so hard I had tears! One of my English teachers handed it out to the class to show us how the ordering of words can change the meaning of a sentence entirely. Hope you find it as amusing as I did. Since there are so many, I'll just send a few at a time.

Welfare English:
(Sentences taken from actual letters received by the local welfare dept. in application for support)

1. I am forwarding my marriage certificate and six children. I had seven but one died which was baptized on a half sheet of paper.

2. I am writing to the welfare department to say that my baby was born two years old. When do I get my money?

3. Mrs. Jones has not had any clothes for four years and has been visited regularly by the clergy.

4. I cannot get sick pay I have six children. Can you tell me why?

5. I am glad to report that my husband who is missing is dead.

We've moved!

Just in case you didn't know, we have moved from our rent house into Karen's house. We will be living with her until the end of June or mid-July and then, drumroll, we will be moving to Washington State! Yea! We will then live with John and Judy for a little bit and try to find jobs up there...somewhere.
We got most of our stuff moved out. We were able to borrow Zach's uncle's truck and another one of his uncle's trailor. It took two trips of the truck and trailor loaded up, our Escape and Karen's HHR fully loaded to get everything over to Karen's house! And there's still stuff over there! We've been going over there randomly and loading up our Escape and getting the rest of it. We had so much stuff that we had to get a storage unit!
There are still other little jobs that need to be done to the house, like last weekend for example. We had to go mow the yard one last time, and we still have to paint the window screens.
It's taking a while, but we're getting it done. We hope to be completely done by April 26. I would say the 19th, but we're having a garage sale that day with Karen, Tony, and Kathy at Tony and Kathy's house.
Anyways, I've probably told you way more than you wanted to know, so see ya.
(sorry, there are no pictures of any of this because it was just the three of us moving everything- Zach, Sarah, and Karen)
p.s.: if you want our new mailing address, just e-mail us and we'll give it to ya.
