Just thought you should see this...

This was 4 cars away from our car!

(just copy and paste into your web address bar, then click on the little icon that says "watch"; it's about a minute and 45 seconds)
...luckily, there was no damage to our car.

Puppies claimed

Sorry to get your hopes up, but the puppies have been claimed. A family 2 houses down from us called my cell phone number and gave an accurate description of the 2 puppies so we had to let them go.

Lost Puppies

Lost Puppies

We found these guys across our street. We were going out one night, and we saw these 2 puppies wondering around. We felt really sorry for them, so we took them in temporarily. We put signs up saying "2 Puppies Found: Call this number XXX-XXXX" (number excluded from 'blog due to security reasons). We're hoping the owners call because I know how I'd feel if I lost my 2 dogs, but in the mean time we're enjoying their company.
Sadly, if no one calls by 3:30 tomorrow, we're going to call the Humane Society and have them taken away.
We've named the gray one Sydney and the black one Max.

Christmas 2007

Christmas 2007

Christmas!!! It was a good Christmas this year for us. Sarah and I celebrated on the 23rd, we couldn't wait--that's terrible isn't it? On Christmas morning, Sarah and I got up around 8:30 and she made her famous Monkey Bread to take over to my grandma's that day, that stuff is so good. After we got ready to go, we went over to my mom's house and opened presents with her and Kristi and Joe (Kristi's boyfriend). After we got done there, we went over to Nana's house (Zach's dad's mom) and had our traditional family breakfast which is sausage rolls and eggs and bacon with gravy, simple, yet delicious. After breakfast, we went and opened presents and then just spent the day lazing around playing with our new toys. Nana got a new outdoor antenna for her t.v., so my uncle, my dad and I tried to install it. We got it put up, but never got it high enough to pick up all the channels.
So all in all, it was just a time well spent with the family.
The picture I attached was taken at my grandma Nana's church Elmdale Baptist in their fellowship hall. My Aunt Susie is in charge of decorations there. We sent these pictures out to some of the family and friends. If you didn't get one, sorry, stamps are expensive!

Thanksgiving 2007

Sorry it's been so long since our last post...we have no excuse, we're just bad bloggers.

On Thanksgiving Day, we went out to my grandma's house (Nana) and stuffed our faces, watched the cowboys game, played our guitars and played in the snow. Yes, that's right, I said snow. It snowed like crazy here in Abilene, TX, from about 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.-so about 8 hours. This was the first time a lot of us had ever seen snow on Thanksgiving Day here in Abilene. I measured about 6 inches in our back yard. I know that's not much to some people, but for here, that's quite a bit.
Sarah and I went home that night and put our snow clothes on and played in the snow with our dogs in the back yard. The dogs loved it, especially Astoria. We would make snow balls and she would catch them in her mouth.
On Saturday, we out to my other grandma's house in Lawn (Memaw) and stuffed our faces again. We just played a few board games and hung out with each other 'til Sarah and I had to go home to let our doggies out.
Other than that, it wasn't very eventful, just good times with the fam.

Halloween 2007!

It's Sarah....
Well, this year we didn't have a ghoulish party, it just cost way too much ghoulish money! Instead we stayed at home and handed out candy to trick or treaters! It's our first time as a couple! I bought three bags too many of candy and will now be obliged to eat said three bags of candy all by myself...how terrible (sarcasm!)
My costume this year was a Texas ranger, yeehaw! I had a pearl snap shirt, jeans, and a badge (the badge was even made of metal, I went all out!) Here are some pictures of our porch, jack'o'lanterns and myself in my costume (Zach was a scrooge and didn't dress up :P)

Trail of the Screaming Forehead

This trailer is from the same people who did "The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra". Great movie if you get that sort of humor. I keep hearing that this one "Trail...Forehead" is already out, but I still have not seen it anywhere! If anyone hears anything about where I can get hold of this thing, lemme know.

o.k., I just saw that you can click on menu and view other videos on You Tube. I just want to let you know that I don't know where those videos came from.

Texas Pledge of Allegiance

Sorry I haven't posted anything lately. I've been spending time with my in-laws and painting my house, with A LOT of help from John, and starting substituting, so I'm a little preoccuppied with other things besides blogging (sorry). The house is a mess and the yard is a jungle, ya know, b/c of my foot, but the painting is almost done. Once I get caught up, I'll post some before and after pictures of the house and let you know who all helped me complete this HUGE task with many many thanks that are way over due.

Oh yeah, before I forget. My family and I were having a discussion about the Texas Pledge of Allegiance. Well here it is, straight from the classroom...

Texas Pledge of Allegiance:
Honor the Texas Flag
I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas,
one state under God,
one and indivisible.

weird huh?

p.s.: sorry for any misunderstading this may have caused.
also, the comment was removed due to a revision in this blog causing the statement to become inapplicable. Future posts are permissable.

tah-tah for now
