Halloween Party 2006

Halloween Party 2006

The Halloween Party went really well this year! We had a total of 16 people, too many people to fit into our tiny house, but it was fun with everyone there! We even ran out of chairs! There was a costume competition too with hokey prizes that I got from Target. The only thing missing were Jack'O' Lanterns on our front porch. School's been so hectic that Zach and I totally forgot to buy a couple of pumpkins to carve. Here are the pictures from the party!

Zach as a Scottish Highlander/William Wallace. For his entrance he played the soundtrack to Braveheart and even made the same speech that William Wallce did before one of the battles in the movie. After his speech he came running down the hallway with his sword swinging and stabbed a few people along the way. All pretend of course.

This is Zach doing a Pigeon for Guesstures.

Ashley and Kason as Pizza. They had made the costumes just before. Everyone like the idea so much they won Most Orginal and got a frisbee as a prize.

Here's Karen as the Tooth Fairy!

"Gimme your Teeth!"

(judging by Tony's expression she's already
<---stolen all of his teeth)
Jon as a Thug and Lauren as a biker dude. I almost doubled over laughing when they came to the door. They won best overall costume and received a Nacho Libre talking pen and a keychain that said "hot stuff"

Kathy as a wolf in sheep's clothing

And Tony as Scurvy the Pirate with a Parrot that repeats everything you say

<-----Jennifer and Garrett as Nerf Warriors. The costumes were inspired by a video game that they play. They tied with Jon and Lauren for best overall costume and won a card game called hit the deck and fake fangs. horray fangs!
David as an African, ---> he actually had this just hanging around in his closet.

Kathy whispering an idea for a costume to Rachel...Instead of being just Rachel she was a Wednesday night bible school teacher...which she really is.

Theron as a point guard for the Portland Trail Blazers. He even has the headband. Go Portland!

Having some Guesstures fun! Me in my Batgirl costume. I even had a "Thwack and Pow" sign hanging on the ceiling fan. Look for it in the other pictures.

Pictures from Christmas in 2005

Zach's first "Live" Christmas tree!

Carrying the tree back to the car, Zach and I had to do all the
hard work since we were the "spring chickens"

The Christmas tree all done. It was twice as tall as me!

Cute little Daisy!

The Space Needle. We went all the way up to the top for an outrageous price!

Ugly room, but cute dog.

Rabies

Well, Zach and I had an interesting weekend! Most of it I was in the emergency room or over the toilet...I guess I'll start with Thursday night--On Thursday I let the dogs out like normal, but this time there was a cat in the yard. I heard the cacaphony of hissing and Astoria's wierd bark/howl so I ran outside to find Astoria and Daisy attacking this kitten (3 months old). So to make a long story short I got in between the cat and the dogs and the cat mistook me for a tree. It climbed up my leg and bit my hand when I tried to disengage him. Because we couldn't catch the cat I had to go in for rabies shots which took 5 weeks. I finally go my last shot on my birthday! What a present...Well it's officially taken me four months to write about this. I'm not so good with the keeping up with entries thing. Oh well....I'll stick to pictures.

Engagement Photos

Here are some engagement photos I took of my friends for photography class. They were actually taken in Abilene, Texas at a family farm.

There's a terrible thunder and lightning storm going on so I better get off the computer before there's a power outage!

Pictures

Here's a picture of me and Zach on our wedding day

And here's a picture of a flamingo at the Abilene Zoo.

Progression

Well, its been five months since my last post...This blog pretty much represents my life. I get ideas in my head, start one of them, and then forget about the project until 5 months later when I see something that reminds me of the aforementioned project. Same with scrapbooking--I buy stuff to start on a scrapbook, but then never actually get around to scrapbooking a single event. I thought my wedding would inspire me to scrapbook and yet, I'd rather spend time with Zach in the present instead of remembering past events huddled around the desk and scrap paper. Ah Newlywed bliss...being unproductive and not even caring about it because you may fail class, but at least your spouse will still love you even if your teachers don't.
I've recently become interested in photography. I had an extra elective last semester and decided to take a photography class. We learned the basics (with digital not film, I still don't know how to use a film camera) and applied the basics and I'm still working with the basics. Nothing has really advanced yet with my photo skills, but I'm working on it. Last month Zach, Misti, Amy, David, and I went to the Zoo for a photo opportunity. I'll try attaching some of the photos. Nevermind, I don't have the photos on a disc yet! I'll post some other random pictures instead!
I guess that's it for now...Wow, this is the longest post I've had yet!

Here's our cute little dog Daisy at 7 weeks old. She doesn't look much different now even though she's 8 months.

Begginings

Well..
This is my first official entry...Guess that's all for now until I figure out exactly what to do with this thing!
